Feedback (FDBK) , a medical imaging technology company, has seen shares surge over 40% after announcing that its clinical messaging product BleepaTM is already in beta development and will be launched at the NHS Expo in early September.
And the launch is garnering such attention as BleepaTM is set to be the first CE marked medical communication device on the market. As it stands today, up to 97% of doctors reported routinely using Whatsapp to discuss patients with colleagues.
The concept for BleepaTM was born from another Feedback technology, Cadran, which allowed users to view clinical grade medical images conveniently on mobile and personal devices. This technology affords clinicians the convenience of using their personal devices without sacrificing patient privacy and opening themselves up to unnecessary risk.
When the company realized there were no other services in the medical community that had this capacity, they pivoted its function toward communication.
In a release from last month, the company announced they would “reposition [Caldran] to meet the needs of an emerging medical communications market, particularly in medical imaging,” and that they had already begun “working swiftly to develop this new offering and make it available for the many clinicians eager to use it, both within the NHS and internationally."
The expo beginning September 4th will be the public’s first glance at this technology that may one day be considered ubiquitous in the medical community.
