Company Profile
Founded in 2009, Defenx is a security software company that offers a range of products for the mobile, PC and network security markets. Defenx security software is priced competitively, fully featured and efficient (reduced use of memory, processing capacity and therefore power).
A flexible marketing strategy, focused on white-label and profit-share arrangements with distributors, telecoms companies and hardware manufacturers, enables Defenx to compete with established industry incumbents. Since inception, Defenx has sold over 5.7 million security software licenses, primarily in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Defenx was admitted to trading on AIM on 3 December 2015 and acquired Memopal Srl in August 2016, which has allowed the Company to diversify its product portfolio and grow its customer base by adding proprietary cloud backup and synchronisation technology as well as new channel partners.

Anthony (Tony) Reeves
Interim Executive Chairman
Tony has over 45 years’ experience in the recruitment sector and was the executive chairman of Kellan Group plc, the AIM listed recruitment business. Prior to this, he was chairman and chief executive officer of the hotgroup plc from 2001 until its acquisition by Trinity Mirror Group plc in 2005. In 1986 Tony formed Lifetime Corporation, an overseas recruitment agency operating primarily in the Middle East, which was reversed into a business listed on the American Stock Exchange and sold to Olsten for $660 million with $1 billion sales. He is also a private investor in various early stage companies and vice president of Chelsea Football Club
Raffaele Boccardo
Interim Executive Deputy Chairman
Raffaele is an entrepreneur and President of the BV-Tech Group, which he founded in 2005 to become one of Italy’s leading independent corporate IT solutions providers. He received the Order of Merit of the Republic from the President of Italy in 2010. He is one of BV-Tech’s nominated directors and speaks fluent Italian and English. Raffaele will support the Interim Executive Chairman, Anthony Reeves, in progressing the Company’s business and operations. Together, Mr Reeves and Mr Boccardo will also work to finalise the appointment of a permanent CEO for the Company as soon as possible.
Nic Hellyer
Non-executive Director
Nicholos (“Nic”) James Hellyer (aged 55) is a Chartered Accountant and investment banker with over 25 years’ experience. Nic spent the majority of his banking career at UBS and HSBC and is currently a partner at Opus Corporate Finance and Finance Director of AIM quoted Pelatro Plc, the global precision marketing software specialist.

Giorgio Beretta (aged 60) is a qualified accountant with over 30 years’ experience and is a partner at BDO Italia. He has a breadth of public company and advisory experience, having advised on numerous IPOs, M&A transactions and fund raisings, as well as sitting as Chairman of VR Way SA, the first AIM Milan listed company.
