5. Motor industry giant Toyota is recalling 2,700 of its first mass-produced all-electric vehicles over concerns their wheels may fall off.

Bolts on the bZ4X's wheels "can loosen to the point where the wheel can detach from the vehicle" after "low-mileage use" and the recall comes less than two months after the car was launched in Japan.

4. Nike has announced plans to leave Russia, becoming the latest Western brand to quit the country since the invasion of Ukraine in February.

The US sportswear giant halted online orders and closed the stores it owned in the country in March.

3. Netflix has announced another round of job cuts as it grapples with slowing growth and increased competition.

The streaming giant said it was cutting 300 more jobs - roughly 4% of its workforce - mostly in the US, after axing 150 people in May.

2. Confidence levels among Britain's consumers sank to a new record low this month as households struggled with the accelerating cost of living and faced the prospect of months of strikes.

Market research firm GfK said its consumer morale index, launched 48 years ago, fell to -41 in June from -40 in May, below levels that have previously preceded recessions.
