5. The Bahamas police have arrested Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of the collapsed cryptocurrency exchange FTX, the country's attorney general has said.
He is scheduled to appear on Tuesday in a magistrates court in the Caribbean country's capital, Nassau.
4. National Grid has stood down two coal plants that it had put on standby to generate electricity in case supplies were disrupted because of cold weather.
National Grid said on Monday that while it had asked Drax to warm up its two coal-fired units at its site near Selby, North Yorkshire, the plants might not be used. It confirmed at lunchtime the power station had been told to stand down.
3. Passengers face delays and cancellations at airports on Monday after snow, ice and freezing fog swept the UK.
Gatwick and Stansted airports closed their runways on Sunday due to the bad weather. Flights have since resumed but many have been cancelled or pushed back.

About 40,000 rail workers will walk out on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday as part of a long-running row over jobs, pay and conditions.
