5. Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart has raised another $3.6bn (£2.6bn) ahead of an expected stock market debut.
The latest round of fund-raising increased the Walmart-backed company's value to $37.6bn.
4. Virgin Galactic has said it may sell up to $500m of shares after completing a successful space trip on Sunday.
In a filing, the company says it plans to use cash raised to develop its spaceship fleet and infrastructure.
3. Retail sales enjoyed a springtime bounceback, with growth in High Street sales from April to June making it the best three months on record, industry body figures indicate.
Sales were up 28.4% from a year earlier and were 10.4% higher than in 2019.
2. Nightclubs and other event organisers have been advised to ask for proof that revellers have had two jabs or tested negative for Covid.
Confirming that most Covid rules in England will be lifted on 19 July, Health Secretary Sajid Javid encouraged event organisers to require attendees to show so-called vaccine passports.
