5. Amazon is taking legal action against the administrators of more than 10,000 Facebook groups.
It says the groups are generating fake reviews on Amazon marketplaces in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan.
4. Rishi Sunak won the most support in the third round of voting to find a replacement for Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday.
Lawmaker Tom Tugendhat was eliminated.
3. The price of petrol has fallen from record highs, leading to reductions worth £1.50 per tank, according to the AA motoring group.
Average pump prices are down to 188.76p per litre for petrol and 196.96p per litre for diesel.
2. Inflation will be brought back under control by the government, Nadhim Zahawi is expected to say in his first speech as chancellor.
Inflation - the rate at which prices rise - is at a 40-year high of 9.1% and expected to rise further by the autumn.
1. The government is due to unveil this year's pay deal for 2.5 million public sector workers and have signalled awards will not match price rises, warning this would push inflation even higher.
The awards, expected to be 5%, cover one in four public servants, including teachers, nurses, doctors, police officers, and members of the armed forces.
