5. The boss of one of the UK's largest business groups, Tony Danker, has stepped aside while an investigation takes place into complaints about his conduct at work.
The CBI said it took all matters of workplace conduct "extremely seriously", but would not comment further until the probe was complete.
4. Tesla has cut prices for its electric cars again, by up to 20%, as it tries to boost sales and compete with rival firms.
The reductions - worth several thousand pounds, depending on the market and model - have been listed for sale on the company's website in the UK, US and elsewhere in recent days.
3. British manufacturers are increasingly turning away from overseas suppliers as energy and transport costs mount and European Union firms are also worried about doing business across the English Channel after Brexit, a survey showed.
Make UK, an industry group, said on Tuesday that 40% of British manufacturers "re-shored" suppliers in the last year and a similar proportion planned to do so in the next 12 months with rising costs the main factor.
2. Starbucks has announced plans to open 100 new stores in the UK over the next 12 months as part of a Europe-wide investment programme.
The US coffee chain, which already has just over 1,000 sites in the country, said it was also aiming to complete a refurbishment of its store estate over the next three years as part of the £30m investment.
1. A leading charity has called for an amnesty on prepayment meters that would allow people to get them removed from their homes.
Age UK said homes on prepayment meters pay more for gas and electricity than those on direct debit and risk energy being cut off due to a lack of cash.
