5. AMC, the US cinema chain that owns Odeon, says it will allow customers to pay for movie tickets and concessions in Bitcoin by the end of the year.

Boss Adam Aron said it has been exploring the technology and "how else AMC can participate in this new burgeoning cryptocurrency universe".

4. County Tyrone-based Euro Auctions has been sold to Canadian company Ritchie Bros for £775m.

The firm was set up in Dromore in 1998 by Derek Keys and his brothers.

3. Hackers have stolen some $600m (£433m) in what appears to be one the largest cryptocurrency heists ever.

Blockchain site Poly Network said hackers had exploited a vulnerability in its system and taken thousands of digital tokens such as Ether.

2. Amazon has said it will compensate customers who suffer injury or property damage from defective goods sold by independent sellers on its US platform.

From 1 September it will pay valid claims of up to $1,000 (£720), which make up more than 80% of injury and damage cases on its site, it said.

1. Winchester is the least affordable city to buy a home in, with figures suggest buying a home in the Hampshire commuter city will cost 14 times average earnings, higher than Greater London at 11 times.

Typically, buying a home in a UK city will now set buyers back 8.1 times their average earnings, up from 5.6 times a decade ago.
