“We are delighted to be re-launching the franchise for the first time since 2014 and for the first time on this generation of Sony and Microsoft consoles,” said Frank Sagnier, Chief Executive of Codemasters.
He added, "GRID has already received widespread industry acclaim in the run up to its release, in keeping with our reputation of producing the highest quality, AAA rated racing games."
Featuring 104 career events across 12 race locations, GRID has an offering of top drivers including Fernando Alonso alongside his esports team, FA Racing Logitech G and the return of the revered Ravenwest Motorsport.
GRID, who recently won 'Best Racing Game' at the gamescom Awards 2019, will be available on the PlayStation®4, Xbox One devices and Windows PC from today.
Mr Sagnier further acknowledged Google’s incorporation of GRID across its gaming service, demonstrating the firm’s flexibility across multiple platforms alongside it’s standing within the racing category.
He said, “We are also extremely pleased that the game has been selected as a launch title on Google Stadia which will be available to millions of new consumers later this year. We are incredibly proud of the game we have created and are thrilled that it is finally available to players around the world."
