UK personalised healthcare firm, Concepta (CPT) , announced on Thursday the birth of its first baby as a result of its fertility tracking and pregnancy testing system, myLotus®.

Not only does this first birth marks a major milestone for the company, but the number of births arising from other myLotus® pregnancies are expected to grow over the coming months.

The company revealed the mother to be Isabel Gordon, who gave birth to her son, Sonny Rocco Gordon, on Wednesday 25th September 2019.

“We are extremely proud and delighted to announce our first birth and we send our love and best wishes to Sonny, Isabel, Joshua and the Gordon family,” commented Matthew Walls, Concepta’s Chairman.

He added, “Today’s announcement is a fabulous achievement for the Company and continues to strengthen the credibility and awareness of myLotus® amongst women.”

Ms Gordon, who fell pregnant within her first cycle of using myLotus®, expressed her delight at the product, highlighting her overall user experience as more than positive.

She commented: "Thank you for bringing us Sonny, without myLotus® I am sure he wouldn't be here… myLotus® couldn't have been a better purchase if it tried.

myLotus® easily explains all the different features of how to use it, and the fact that it produces an individualised LH level for each ovulation test is quite frankly genius. This allowed me to track my ovulation in such a concise way that I felt in safe hands.”

The revolutionary home based, self-test product was launched in the UK in November 2018 to help women trying to conceive.

In March, Concepta entered into its first supply agreement with Boots UK, and most recently, announced its first collaboration with Manchester Fertility to advance the clinic’s Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) procedures.

“Our pregnancies are growing in number and we have waited patiently for our first births. We expect to announce growing numbers of births arising from myLotus® over the coming months,” added Mr Walls.
