Europa Metals Ltd (EUZ) released a Quarterly Activities and Cashflow Report today, with a particular focus on the group’s lead-zinc-silver project, the Toral Project, in Province of León, Spain.
This past summer, EUZ successfully secured and mobilised a Reverse Circulation and Diamond drilling rig to begin work on the Toral Project. The rig, dubbed the Combination rig, is one of only a few of its type in Spain and presented a unique edge for the company.
The geological team extended drilling east of the initial target and the group were thrilled to intersect zinc, lead, and silver mineralisation in each of the four new holes drilled. After the geological team’s intensive re-logging of the Toral Project area, EUZ was thrilled to report an increased resource estimate from 16 million tonnes at 6.9% zinc equivalent and 25 g/t silver to 19 million tonnes at 6.9% zinc equivalent and 24 g/t silver-- a 19% increase in overall tonnage.
Moving forward, the company is looking to begin phase two of the diamond infill drill programme to increase EUZ’s understanding of the existing resources in the area to in order to create a feasibility study.
Laurence Read, Executive Director of EUZ, shared positive thoughts on the status of the Toral Project; “I commend the exploration team for its hard work and we remain committed to proving-up the potential of the company’s promising Toral asset.
