European Green Transition (EGT ) has released an operational update on its Wind Services business for the three months ended 30 September 2026.
EGT’s Wind Services business continued to deliver positive operational and commercial momentum during the third quarter, supported by continued demand across its repowering, operations and maintenance, repair and remote monitoring services.
The business comprises Earthmill Maintenance, Silverford Engineering, Wind Energy Partnership and Anemos Analytics, serving a client base of more than 900 onshore wind turbines across the UK and Ireland.
The business made strong progress across its repowering pipeline during the third quarter, benefitting from growing customer interest in increasing turbine generating capacity, improving operational performance and extending the life of existing assets.
The group continues to engage with approximately 280 qualified repowering prospects across its existing client base of approximately 900 turbines, representing a potential revenue opportunity of £126 million.
The Wind Services O&M business also continued to experience strong demand during the quarter, providing servicing, maintenance, remote monitoring and critical-component services across the client base.
During the quarter, the group secured the renewal of a five-year O&M contract with the Drax Group covering 94 onshore wind turbines across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The agreement includes a diverse fleet of turbines including Endurance E-Series and X-Series, Vestas and WTN models. The renewal extends a partnership first established in 2021 and provides long-term revenue visibility to 2031.
In addition, Earthmill has entered into a strategic partnership with a battery storage and energy optimisation provider, expanding its capabilities within the rapidly growing renewable energy market. The partnership is expected to enhance Earthmill's service offering, create new commercial opportunities, and support the generation of additional long-term value for customers and shareholders.
Meanwhile, Anemos Analytics, in which EGT holds a 79% interest, continued to develop its contracted turbine base during Q3, growing total contracts to 136 turbines, as wind turbine owners increasingly seek to use predictive condition-monitoring technology to reduce operating costs, increase uptime and extend asset life.
"EGT's Wind Services business continued to deliver positive operational and commercial momentum during Q3, supported by growing demand across its repowering, operations and maintenance, repair and remote monitoring services, including the renewal of a significant five-year contract covering 94 turbines,” said Cathal Friel, executive chair of European Green Transition.
"The renewal of our five-year contract with Drax is a particularly important endorsement of the quality of our service offering and demonstrates our ability to build long-term relationships with leading operators. Together with continued progress across our repowering pipeline, it underpins our confidence in the outlook for the business. With a growing orderbook, supportive market conditions and a strong pipeline of opportunities, we remain confident in achieving the Group’s medium term revenue target of £50 million as we look to build a leading critical infrastructure services platform.”

There’s currently a substantial opportunity on offer within the UK repowering market, supported by an ageing installed turbine base, growing energy security requirements and a more supportive planning environment for onshore wind. EGT has been tapping into this nicely via its Wind Services business, and looks well set to continue to do so.
