Georgina Energy (GEX, an Australia-focused natural resources explorer, issued an operational and permitting update on its core asset EPA155 Mt Winter in the Amadeus Basin, Northern Territory, Australia, targeting significant deposits of natural gas, hydrogen and helium.

Georgina reported steady progress in the EPA155 permitting process, confirming the submission of several key documents to the Central Land Council in support of the ALRA agreement necessary for the Northern Territory government to grant the EPA155 Mt Winter priority area to GEX.

The submissions include the Mt Winter-1 well reentry work program with a concept well design, cultural and heritage considerations, an environmental management plan, overview of proposed roads and drilling pad location, plans for the site airstrip, and others.

Additionally, GEX submitted plans for the acquisition of an additional seismic, derived from the recently completed reprocessing and remapping of existing 2D seismic data.

Anthony Hamilton, CEO of Georgina Energy, commenting: "Following the decision to accelerate the Mt Winter re-entry, we have been working hard in partnership with the CLC and the Traditional Owners to provide all the required documentation for an ALRA agreement. This is an intense period of preparation for both our assets, and we look forward to sharing the anticipated positive news with our shareholders when we can. In the meantime, thank you for your support and patience while we progress these various workstreams."

Georgina continues to advance permitting and preparations for its core asset in Australia, the EPA155 Mt Winter in the Amadeus Basin, Northern Territory. Permitting is in the final stages, with the ALRA agreement - the last remaining step - expected to be finalised shortly.

By latest estimation, Mt Winter hosts unrisked 2U prospective resources of 127 bcfg of helium, 117 bcfg of hydrogen, and 944 bcgf of hydrocarbons net to GEX, assuming 75% WI based on GEX's full funding of the Mt Winter-1 well reentry program. Recently reprocessed seismic data yielded 15% increases in the prospective helium and hydrogen resources, and a 3% increase in the prospective natural gas resource.

Additionally, a new 60km2 structural closure was recently identified, offering significant potential to find new targets and boost future production. In addition to Mt Winter-1, two other wells drilled in EPA155 are currently under review for their respective sequential reentry potential.

In early 2025, GEX announced the full acquisition of EPA155 Mt Winter from Mosmal Oil & Gas, bringing the group's entire Australian portfolio under 100% ownership. The deal remains on track for completion and will accelerate the Mt Winter-1 well reentry program and revise the abovementioned WI figures.

While Georgina is still in the pre-revenue phase, it has made substantial progress over the past year in de-risking its assets in Australia and advancing toward drill-ready status. With a focus on launching its maiden drilling campaign at EP513 Hussar, alongside the Mt Winter-1 well reentry program, the company is poised to unlock significant value over the next year.
