Georgina Energy (GEX)  has taken a significant step towards securing its highly prospective Mt Winter project after agreeing the terms of an Aboriginal Land Rights Agreement (ALRA) with the Central Land Council (CLC) for EP155.

The agreement, which covers the Mt Winter prospect in Australia's Amadeus Basin, will now be presented to Traditional Owners before being submitted to the Northern Territory Minister for Mines and Energy for formal approval and grant.

Mt Winter is located about 70 kilometres west of the producing Mereenie oil and gas field, which has been operating since 1984 and has produced more than 16 million barrels of oil and 250 billion cubic feet of gas. The prospect hosts estimated prospective recoverable resources of 283 billion cubic feet of helium, 214 billion cubic feet of hydrogen and 1,734 billion cubic feet of hydrocarbon gas on a 2U/P50 basis.

The project also benefits from a large structural closure exceeding 3,200 acres and targets thick Heavitree and fractured basement reservoir sections. The wider Amadeus Basin has demonstrated significant helium, hydrogen and hydrocarbon flows, including reported concentrations of up to 9% helium and 11.5% hydrogen in comparable subsalt reservoir sections.

With the ALRA terms agreed, Georgina plans to accelerate development activities at Mt Winter while continuing preparations for drilling at its Hussar project in the Officer Basin, where drilling remains scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.

The granting of EP155 would also trigger completion of the company's acquisition arrangements with Mosman Oil & Gas, including a payment of A$300,000 from existing working capital. The permit has remained ungranted for more than 16 years under previous applicants.

"The Company is very pleased with the outcome and wishes to thank Bob Liddle, our Indigenous Consultant, and the Georgina team for their tireless work in consultation with the CLC and Traditional Owners in the negotiation and finalisation of the EP155 ALRA Agreement," said Georgina Energy Chief Executive Officer Anthony Hamilton.

"This is an important step toward the granting of EP155 and our planned re-entry and development programme at Mt Winter. The Company now has two active development workstreams, with Mt Winter progressing toward formal grant and Hussar advancing through pre-drill civil engineering works ahead of the planned Q3 2026 drilling programme."

Agreement of the ALRA represents a major milestone for Georgina's Mt Winter project, removing a longstanding hurdle that had prevented the permit from being granted for more than a decade. With both Mt Winter and Hussar now advancing in parallel, investors have multiple near-term catalysts to watch as the company progresses towards drilling and resource appraisal.
