GetBusy (GETB) , a developer of document management and software products, announced on Monday that it had entered into a major reseller and integration agreement with Acorah Software Products Limited, which trades under the name TaxCalc.
Boasting a 30-year heritage, TaxCalc is a leading UK software supplier having an installed base in excess of 8,000 accountancy practices and over 30,000 individual taxpayers across the UK.
Under the agreement, TaxCalc will become a non-exclusive reseller of GetBusy’s SmartVault product to current and prospective customers of TaxCalc across the UK and overseas.
The two firms will develop an integration jointly between the two products and co-market the integrated product suite.
“Our partnership with TaxCalc is an important landmark in the geographic expansion of SmartVault, a core component of our strategy, and provides a substantial channel to market,” commented CEO of GetBusy, Daniel Rabie.
Mr Rabie characterised the accounting and tax advisory market as buoyant and as a space undergoing rapid technological changes — he considers TaxCalc and SmartVault as “key enablers” in this evolution.
Tracy Ebdon-Poole, Chief Executive of TaxCalc says the group are now excited to be working alongside GetBusy, not only for reselling SmartVault, but for developing a “tighter integration” for the benefit of customers.
