Integumen (AIM:SKIN) announced on Wednesday the launch of ecowaterOS, a green-tech real-time monitoring system which analyses water for bacteria contamination using artificial intelligence.

The system will provide a range of clients from water utilities to consumers with alerts in real-time as well as the provision of services from a consortium of water decontamination solution providers.

The partners in ecowaterOS are Integumen’s Rinocloud AI, Acumen Software, Nimbus Research Centre, Cork Institute of Technology, Cellulac, Modern Water and tcBB Resource Centre.

Shares in Integumen were trading 0.35% lower at 1.405p during Wednesday trading.

"The consortium brings together multiple partners with a combined 32 years of tried and tested engineering skillsets added to smart AI cloud-based data analytic technologies and best-in-class engineering at commercial scale across the brewing, biofuel, chemical and wastewater industries,” said Gerard Brandon, Chief Executive of Integumen.

He added, “With raising awareness of the direct impact of climate change across the world on systems vital to our wellbeing, ecowaterOS is a global game-changer for water monitoring, recovery, treatment and recycling.

Meanwhile, Integumen also announced the appointment of two senior-level individuals, with sales director Finn Murray appointed as COO and Paul Ryan as Chief Sales Officer.

The appointments come at a time when the growing demand for Integumen’s services requires further expansion to cover the group's multi-national clients across four continents, the statement outlined.
