Events and entertainment firm, Live Company Group (LVCG) , announced on Wednesday that it had signed a joint venture to officially bring BRICKLIVE to South Africa.
Live Company announced a joint venture agreement signed between Livegroup’s wholly-owned BRICKLIVE International and South African organiser, WORLDSPORT (‘WSL’), to create BRICKLIVE (South Africa) Limited.
The joint venture, to be owned 50.1% by the Company and 49.9% by WSL, will stage and promote BRICKLIVE Shows, identifying customers for corporate builds and customer sets in South Africa.
Pursuant to the agreement, BLI will provide the Joint Venture with content, whilst WSL will promote and organise shows and tours.
Chairman, David Ciclitira acknowledged the benefit of the partnership in representing another new territory for the Group, he commented:
“Establishing partnerships in the southern hemisphere will enable the Group to maximise the utilisation of our assets during the European winter months. We are continually developing relationships to expand the BRICKLIVE brand globally."
The company also reported that its Europe-based BRICKLIVE Super Series of events held from mid-September to early November had been well received, with a near total of 85,000 visitors in attendance.
Most significantly, Live Company’s BRICKLIVE event held at the NEC in Birmingham between 31 October and 3 November 2019, sponsored by Nick Junior, attracted around 20,000 visitors.
BRICKLIVE events that have occurred, or will occur in 2019 has to-date risen to 70, the company revealed, with that number expected to increase before the end of the year.
“To already have hit 70 events this year demonstrates the tremendous demand for the BRICKLIVE brand, which I fully expect to grow year on year,” added Mr Ciclitira.
