London-listed MTI Wireless Edge (AIM:MWE)  have secured an additional order to an existing contract worth around $0.6 million.

The contract follows on from an original order received in March 2019 worth $1 million for the manufacturing of military antennas.

This was to be delivered over 40 months, the statement detailed, and today’s order is expected to be delivered within the next 12 months.

Shares in MTI Wireless Edge were trading 2.56% higher at 40p on Friday morning.

MTI's Chief Executive, Moni Borovitz said the win was demonstrative of the customer’s satisfaction with the group’s products, technology and service.

He added, “We continue to see expansion and growth opportunities in all sectors of the antenna industry, particularly in the 80 GHz spectrum as mobile operators start to implement the roll-out of their 5G networks.”
