Cloud-based cybersecurity software firm, Osirium Technologies (OSI) , announced on Monday a significant contract win with an unnamed major UK provider of software and IT services to the public sector.
Significantly, the contract is representative of the customer’s continued investment in Osirium, having made an initial order earlier this year in February. The 36 month license now stands at 2,600 devices -- in addition to the 250 devices covered by the initial order.
Under the terms of the contract, the AIM-listed group will deliver its full PxM Platform including the Privileged Access Management, Privileged Task Management and Privileged Session Management modules.
The company explained that the provider will find particular value through exploiting Osirium's award-winning Task Automation capabilities -- on Linux devices, for example, to minimise the overall risk of security breaches.
The software will manage security services to its customers to deliver “rigorous control” of access to privileged accounts -- principally, these customers will be central government organisations and local authorities in the public sector.
David Guyatt, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "Osirium is delighted that, within a 9 month period, this prominent service provider has shown such confidence in the Osirium solution and expanded its base of protected devices more than ten fold.”
He further added, “This is further evidence of the success of our land and expand strategy, as having experienced the benefits of the Osirum PxM solution, they have now taken the decision to roll out our technology to public sector customers served by both of their data centres.”
