Rome Resources (RMR plans to appoint Stephane Mutombo Irung as a non-executive director.

Irung is a representative of Stanvic Mining SARL, which undertook a strategic investment in Rome towards the end of 2024.

The proposed appointment of Irung remains subject to the approval from Rome’s nominated adviser and to the completion of the customary due diligence.

A further announcement, including the requisite disclosures, will be made in due course, upon Irung's appointment to the board.

"Mr. Irung will bring further DRC business experience to the team and the Board appreciates his continuing support for the business,” said Paul Barrett, chief executive Rome.

“Following his appointment, we will look forward to his contributions to the decision-making process as we move forward with the next phase of the Bisie North tin project."

This looks a useful addition to an already experienced board of directors. BIsie North has been shaping up well all year, and it will be interesting to see what Rome does next to drive further value.
