Derby-based employment agency, RTC Group (RTC) announced on Tuesday that Network Rail, the owner and manager covering most of the UK railway network, have extended their contract with the group’s subsidiary, Ganymede, by another year.
The contract, which was originally entered into by both parties on 20 March 2015, has now been extended to 31 March 2021.
As a provider to the industry, Ganymede specialise in delivering complex labour logistics to undertake safety-critical work across the infrastructure sector.
The firm was chosen in 2015 by Network Rail as a key strategic partner for their CP5 control period five work programme which has been running since 2014.
The extension covers the first two years of CP6, a five year £35bn spending and investment programme into the UK's railway network announced by the government in October 2018.The company reported that it expects revenues within the extension year to be in line with the group’s current financial activity.
