SCISYS Group PLC (SSY) , on Wednesday announced it was awarded a contract from a major European broadcaster for newsroom software, services and training.
SCISYS provides software systems, IT-based solutions and support services to customers that range from the Ministry of Defence, and the European Space Agency to Vodafone and the BBC.
The company said the contract win “adds a strategically important new customer” to the SCISYS Media Solutions portfolio and said it was included in existing market guidance.
The contract is for SCISYS Media to provide an integrated newsroom solution for planning and rundown management.
This installation uses OpenMedia INFINITY and NEWSBOARD software solutions developed by SCISYS. The software is used by 75,000 journalists worldwide for clients such as the BBC and the ARD Group.
Klaus Heidrich, CEO of SCISYS, said: "We are delighted with this contract win, which demonstrates that we are leaders in the European market with our premium OpenMedia and NEWSBOARD products for newsrooms and broadcasters."
The £74 million market cap company was trading at 251p each on Wednesday.
