Shares in Mobile Streams (MOS ) rose by over 25% this afternoon after it unveiled a contract win with International Gaming Systems which is expected to deliver ‘significant revenue.’
In a statement released this afternoon the mobile content and data intelligence company told investors that it expects monthly revenue across all services to exceed US$0.12m this month.
The Company explained that the revenue share contract with International Gaming Systems will see the firm’s gaming and entertainment services launched and made available globally via the Mobile Streams’ website mobilegaming.com and via MOS telco contracts when ready.
It said these services will begin in 1Q22 with the initial launch of a FIFA Esports tournament involving a top Eurasian football league and a trading service for online gaming skins.
Mobile Streams said the launch of these services will precede the rollout of further Esports, gaming and content services that IGS will deliver via the firm’s Mobilegaming.com website.
IGS will also actively look for other opportunities to grow revenues in partnership with MOS and will be using the Steams platform to accelerate and better target its marketing services.
IGS has committed to deliver minimum revenue to MOS of US$0.72m over the first six months, a portion of which will be paid to IGS while MOS will fund ‘modest’ start-up costs.
Commenting on today’s contract win, Anders Holmstedt, CEO of IGS highlighted to investors: “With our gaming and entertainment content and their delivery platform we have enormous scope to grow services and revenue. We can’t wait to get going with the partnership, first with our Esports competition and Skins trading but then with much more to come.”
Nigel Burton, Non-Executive Director of MOS said: “The IGS contract is a great start to the year. It shows how far we’ve come and it’s a credit to the whole team that we can now attract strategic partnerships of this level. We look forward to continued growth in the months ahead.”
Shares in Mobile Streams were trading 26.74% higher this afternoon following the news.
Last month, Mobile Streams said its monthly revenue had exceeded $80,000 across its channels while its LiveScores markets were performing ahead of internal targets.
At the time, the Company told investors that the global number of Streams service users that could be monetised was in excess of 70,000 users across all of its channels. The Company also highlighted that it was “actively” looking at further launches to enter new markets.
In November 2021, its LiveScore Argentina service generated over $14,000 in revenue in October alone, significantly more than the group was expecting for its first month of service.
The service, which has been live in Argentina since the start of October and marketed under ‘NacionPelota’, forms part of the group’s efforts to advance its revenue generation strategy.
Over $14,000 in revenue was generated from around 6,000 downloads in October alone, with the higher than expected revenue arising from greater take up than anticipated in the market.
