Totally plc (TLY ), a provider of frontline healthcare and corporate wellness services, announced it has mobilised NHS England's new platform for delivering NHS 111 services, and successfully delivered its first 100,000 calls.

Totally is currently delivering NHS 111 services on behalf of NHS England and is the first provider in the country to mobilise the mandated Single Virtual Contact Centre (SVCC) solution.

The cloud-based model for managing NHS 111 calls provides notable benefits to NHS England, including seamless call re-routing to Totally's network of health advisors, real-time data on waiting times and call-handling capacity, reduced onboarding costs, and improved business continuity.

Since launching the platform in mid-February 2023, Totally's 111 frontline workforce has answered over 100,000 calls. Totally said it is currently working on leveraging performance data to further maximise the number of calls that can be accepted.

Wendy Lawrence, CEO, commented: "Totally has a proven track record in the delivery of NHS 111 services and we are delighted to be the first to have fully mobilised the SVCC model, displaying our commitment to both delivering NHS services and using innovative, new solutions to improve patient care."

A positive update from Totally on their ongoing handling of NHS 111 services on behalf of NHS England. Totally has now become the first and only provider to fully mobilise the mandated SVCC cloud-based solution for handling calls.

Totally's successful mobilisation of the SVCC platform also makes possible the mobilisation of new contracts for the delivery of NHS 111 services to be undertaken instantly, strengthening Totally's position when competing for more NHS 111 contracts.

The new system decreases reliance on legacy hardware and infrastructure, enabling flexible working across multiple sites or working from home if necessary. In addition, the aforementioned optimisations increase the efficiency and flexibility of Totally's NHS 111 workforce, which should translate to more call volume being sent to Totally by NHS England.

As is to be expected, a cloud-based solution delivers tangible benefits, and being the first and only company to implement it currently gives Totally a tangible advantage.

Totally was also recently awarded a contract to be a national resilience partner to the NHS. The national resilience plan, alongside the SVCC mobilisation, provides additional flexible capacity to be targeted where and when needed.
