The healthcare service provider Totally (TLY ) has secured a contract extension worth around £7m to deliver NHS 111 services across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent for a further year.
The contract was awarded to Vocare, which forms a part of Totally’s Urgent Care division and which provides urgent care services to ten million patients across the UK through urgent care centres and GP out-of-hours services, and will run from 1 April 2022 at a value of c. £7m.
Totally’s Vocare is a long-standing partner for the provision of NHS 111 services in the region, answering around 30,000 calls per month from patients seeking advice and access to care.
Totally says its responsive services are ‘critical to meeting the current high levels of demand and pressures that NHS 111 is experiencing and ensuring that patients in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent can access the appropriate advice and care they need when they need it.’
Last week, Totally’s Urgent Care division won a two-year contract extension for the provision of its GP services across NHS North West London CCG worth around £1.3m per annum.
Vocare will provide GP-led primary care services for Initial Accommodation Centre service users located within 34 hotels in London’s borough of Hillingdon and neighbouring boroughs.
This contract was initially awarded back in February 2020 to meet the primary care needs of individuals seeking asylum in England who were located mainly within Hillingdon in London.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the contract scope was expanded to include support for new arrivals into UK local airports who exhibited symptoms of Covid-19, the company explained. Under the new terms of the deal, the extension will run from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2024.
Totally’s Urgent Care division has already been awarded three new contracts and multiple contract extensions, together worth a total value of more than £54m this month. These contracts will see the division deliver its services across several locations in England.
As a result of these contract wins, Totally will deliver its services across North East England, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and South East London. Vocare was awarded a contract with Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCGs for the provision of GP Out of Hours services.
Last week, Totally declared an interim dividend of 0.5p to be paid later on 25 February.
