British sustainable fuels technology company, Velocys (VLS) , announced on Wednesday that it had successfully delivered its order of Fischer-Tropsch reactors and catalyst to Japan-based Toyo Engineering Corporation.

The purchase order, which was announced on 19th September, was made by the engineering firm to use in a biomass-to-jet fuel demonstration facility situated in Nagoya, Japan.

Currently, Toyo is constructing this bio-jet fuel facility as part of a consortium of Japanese companies.

The successful construction and delivery of the reactors and catalyst order further adds to positive ongoing work that Velocys is performing both in the UK and the United States on its flagship projects.

"I am pleased that we have fulfilled the purchase order for Toyo, and look forward to the completion and operation of the demonstration plant,” commented Henrik Wareborn, Chief Executive of Velocys.

He added, “This facility highlights the increasing and global commitment to sustainable aviation fuel production.”
