Tungsten, tin and gold mining company, W Resources (WRES) announced on Monday that it had fed first upgraded jigged ore to its new Concentrator Plant at the La Parrilla site in Spain.
First ore was fed to the new La Parrilla Concentrator Plant earlier this month on 17th October for tungsten production at the mining project described as “world-class and low-cost”.
A programme of automated systems installation and commissioning had also been completed on the Concentrator plant within the last month.
The company further explained that commissioning of the floatation, magnetic and electrostatic separators is underway and that German manufacturer, Aufbereitungstechnik GmbH, has said it expects completion in the coming weeks.
Commenting on the recent development at the site, Chairman of W Resources, Michael Masterman said, "Very significant progress has been made over the last month in commissioning the new La Parrilla Concentrator Plant, with commissioning of the final phase nearing completion.
It is great to see the Concentrator Plant start-up on ore for production at our flagship project. Upstream the mine and plant are ready and a stockpile of upgraded jigged feed is in place."
