Junior exploration company, Arc Minerals (ARCM) has identified significant new targets at its Zamsort Copper-Cobalt project in Zambia.
The initial results from the company’s airborne geographical and soil sampling programme revealed several new large anomalies, some of which are reported to be several kilometres long.
Most exciting among these revelations is Cheyeza West, with a core 3km x 3km anomaly surrounded by high Cu values in the soil. The core also featured an electromagnetic anomaly which indicates conductivity within the host rock.
In light of these results, Arc Minerals has put Cheyeza West at the top of its internal ranking for exploration targets.
Executive Chairman Nick von Schirnding expressed enthusiasm at the encouraging results : “It is clear that our licences lie in a very prospective mineral belt adjacent to Zambia's largest copper mines and we believe have the potential to host not one but multiple large new copper deposits.”
