Georgina Energy (GEX)  said drilling at its Hussar prospect remains its primary operational priority, with all civil engineering work complete, while the company is also accelerating the acquisition and development programme at Mt Winter.

At Hussar, all key site preparation works have now been completed. The water well has been successfully tested at about 260,000 litres per day, while the Turkey’s nest, sump and 20 inch conductor pipe are also in place.

The company has also cleared, gravelled and rolled a 1,400 metre airstrip and completed work on access roads. However, adverse weather and flooding continue to restrict access to and from the site.

Georgina remains in priority discussions with Ensign Drilling over mobilising Rig 970 as soon as practical. Drilling Hussar remains the company’s primary priority, while a seismic programme fully funded by Harlequin Energy is also planned.

At Mt Winter, Georgina said terms under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act have been agreed by all parties as it moves to expedite the prospect’s re entry and development programme.

Mt Winter has 2U prospective recoverable resources of 234 billion cubic feet of helium, 214 billion cubic feet of hydrogen and 1.7 trillion cubic feet of gas.

Approvals for preliminary site inspections are under way, with a civil engineering access and site evaluation planned for late October 2026. Planning for a seismic programme has also begun and is expected to be completed shortly.

Settlement arrangements for Georgina’s 100% acquisition of EP155 are progressing. The company will pay AU$300,000 from existing working capital to Mosman Oil & Gas, now Quantum Helium, once the tenement is granted by the Northern Territory Minister of Mines and Energy.

Meetings with the Central Land Council and Traditional Owners are also progressing, with a final formal authorisation meeting planned for mid November.

Georgina Energy’s Chief Executive Officer Anthony Hamilton said: “With all engineering works complete at Hussar, drilling this prospect, along with completing the Mt Winter acquisition, remain our highest priorities.  We look forward to making further announcements in due course on these vitally significant projects.”

Georgina now has the key site infrastructure in place at Hussar and remains focused on getting Rig 970 mobilised once access conditions allow. At the same time, progress on approvals, acquisition work and seismic planning at Mt Winter gives the company a second active development programme alongside its primary Hussar drilling campaign.
