Research on Drax Group plc (DRX:LON) from Longspur Clean Energy
The Drax offer for Bluefield Solar Income Fund adds 0.9GW of renewable solar and onshore wind capacity and a pipeline of 2.98GW. We see this portfolio as fitting well with the Drax’s FlexGen portfolio of assets, allowing the intermittent nature of these new assets to be balanced by the more dispatchable existing portfolio of pumped hydro, hydro, OCGT, biomass and battery assets.
