Mosman Oil and Gas (MSMN ) has issued an operational update on its Colorado helium portfolio, covering the Sagebrush and Coyote Wash projects. Planning for 3D seismic at Sagebrush is well advanced, independent verification work by Sproule is progressing, and permitting continues at Coyote Wash.
At Sagebrush, contractor selection for a 3D seismic survey of about 16 square miles is nearing completion, with field operations targeted to begin in early October subject to final contracting and mobilisation. The programme is designed to deliver higher-resolution imaging of subsurface structures to de-risk drilling, refine targets and optimise well placement for both helium and hydrocarbons.
Sproule’s independent verification at Sagebrush has moved into economic and reservoir modelling after delivery of an initial engineering and resource dataset. The scope includes review of geological and engineering data, including historic gas samples from Sagebrush-1 that indicated 2.76% helium and 23% methane alongside other hydrocarbon gases. The assessment is expected to provide contingent and prospective helium resource estimates to support development and commercialisation.
At Coyote Wash, Mosman has updated and resubmitted regulatory documentation following feedback from government agencies, with further discussions scheduled in the coming weeks under the Indian Mineral Development Agreement framework.
Preliminary surface-facilities design reviews have identified no major technical barriers. Early vendor engagement aims to align subsurface work with a practical processing solution to facilitate a rapid transition from successful well testing to sales.
Mosman Interim-Chief Executive, Howard McLaughlin, said: "Across Sagebrush and Coyote Wash we are executing at pace. At Sagebrush, seismic acquisition planning is well-advanced and we are targeting an early-October start, while Sproule's independent verification is moving toward economics and final reporting.
“At Coyote Wash, the IMDA package has been updated and resubmitted, with our BIA meeting set for early September. In parallel, our facilities workstream is progressing with credible vendors. These steps build on the recent Tribal approval for Sagebrush 3D seismic and position Mosman for a material period of newsflow and value-driving activity."

Sagebrush 3D seismic and the upcoming BIA engagement create near-term catalysts. If Sproule’s verification supports meaningful contingent and prospective resources, it could strengthen project economics and partner or offtake discussions. Attention now turns to contractor award, the October seismic start, Sproule’s outcomes and the Coyote Wash permitting milestones.
