Inspirit Energy (INSP ) shares soar 84.7% to 0.025p on waste heat recovery system update

Inspirit Energy provided an update on its Waste Heat recovery (WHR) system. WHR is a major component in automobile engine design and other heat recovery applications the Company has been working on whereby waste heat exhaust is recycled and converted to energy.

The unit is being built and tested in Poland. With current issues in neighbouring Ukraine, sourcing materials and components had been challenging, the Company said. However, Inspirit Energy still reported a successful first phase of the development of the WHR unit. With limited testing, the prototype provided its highest recorded output of over 30 kW in the first stage build test period.

Paul Booker, Design and Development Director, commented: "This is truly ground breaking technology and the application can be applied to marine, waste heat recycling from energy generation, refrigerated transport that uses diesel engines and many more applications."

Verditek (VDTK ) shares jump 44.4% to 2.6p on exclusive supplier status to new joint venture

Verditek announced it will be the exclusive supplier of solar panels in a new joint venture between its distribution partner Bradclad Group and Norwegian roof membrane manufacturer Protan AB.

Verditek's panels will be used to launch the new Protan Solarbond product. 35 of Protan AB's European dealers will receive samples this month as the product begins to roll out across Europe.

CEO Rob Richards said: "Following extensive development with our partner, the company is now poised to enter the large-scale industrial market with its light-weight solar product partnering with one of Europe's major membrane roofing manufacturers. ... With ever increasing energy prices, more and more factories and warehouses need to install solar systems to remain competitive and this cost effective lightweight solution is ideal for both new build and existing structures"

Sunrise Resources (SRES ) shares jump 39.1% to 0.16p on addition to Caltrans List of Approved Materials

Further to its announcement of 11 May, Sunrise Resources reported today that its CS Natural Pozzolan has now been conditionally approved by the California Department of Transport (Caltrans) for use in California State infrastructure projects, having successfully passed Caltrans's own independent compliance testing. CS Natural Pozzolan is now listed on the Caltrans List of Approved Materials for Cementitious Materials for use in concrete.

Verici Dx (VRCI ) shares jump 25.7% to 22p as Harwood Capital Management investor ups stake

Shares of Verici Dx, developer of advanced clinical diagnostics for organ transplant, jumped 25.7% today as famous smallcap investor Christopher Mills of Harwood Capital increased his Verici Dx stake from 17.5% to 18.0%.

CareTech Holdings (CTH ) shares rise 21% on £870.3m takeover deal

CareTech Holdings, provider of social services, accepted a £870.3m takeover bid from Amalfi Bidco Ltd, a newly formed consortium which features CareTech founders Farouq and Haroon Sheikh, and THCP Advisory Ltd. The consortium will pay 750p per share, a 28% premium to CareTech's share price on 4 March.

The board of CareTech expects to approve the bid unanimously. The takeover is expected to become effective in Q3.
