Rome Resources (RMR) is continuing to drill at the Bisie North tin project in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with transport to and from the site directly supported by helicopters.
The company has implemented enhanced security measures to ensure the safety of its personnel and contractors, in light of the ongoing uncertain security situation around Goma and Bukavu.
The company has also relocated its logistical base for personnel and equipment transfers to Kisangani, the regional capital, located approximately 200km northwest of Bisie North.
The move is designed to ensure continued operational stability, while maintaining a safe distance from the unrest along the Rwandan border.
Rome Resources expects to announce further assay results from Bisie North within the next 10 days, specifically results from the northernmost MADD018 drill hole at Mont Agoma where over 100 metres of visible copper was identified.

Troubles in eastern Congo come and go, but big tin and copper projects are increasingly rare to find. Rome’s management team has extensive experience operating in the region, and if anyone can make it work, they can. The assays due within ten days look interesting too – 100 metres of visible copper is not to be sniffed at.
