GameSpot recently described ‘delays’ as one of the ‘three constants in 2025’ (alongside death and taxes), as they have become so common. On Friday 3 October, developer Redemption Road announced that Kingmakers, previously scheduled for release on 8 October, was delayed. On Monday 6 October, tinyBuild reconfirmed its outlook: it is on track to deliver FY results ‘at least’ in line with expectations. The H1 outlook commentary had already made it clear that there may be delays. Kingmakers, currently #6 on the Steam Wishlist, will benefit from an extra content polish and performance optimisation. While tinyBuild’s share price has fallen on the news, Kingmakers has improved its buyer rating: for buyers, ‘delay’ means a better product. Go figure.
