KR1 plc is a leading digital asset investment company investing in early-stage decentralised and open-source blockchain projects. Headquartered in the Isle of Man, KR1 plc actively manages a portfolio of digital assets and related staking activities with a track record since early 2016.
KR1 plc focuses on funding strong entrepreneurs developing innovative decentralised networks, projects or protocols at the earliest possible stages, in particular during Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A funding rounds. As a permanent capital vehicle, KR1 plc actively manages a portfolio of best-in-class digital assets, holding positions with a long term view on innovation and disruption while also actively pursuing staking activities in a range of ‘Proof-of-Stake’ networks, accruing revenue for the Company on a continuous basis.

George discovered Bitcoin in late 2011 and co-founded KR1 plc in 2016 after initially having been an educator of the technology at conferences and meetups.

Mona joined KR1 plc in 2021 and is the CEO of Avantgarde Finance, developing Enzyme, an Ethereum-based protocol for decentralised on-chain asset management. She previously worked as a trader at Goldman Sachs and portfolio manager at Jabre Capital.

Rhys joined KR1 plc in 2020 with over 25 years experience in public and private companies, having worked for the Boston Consulting Group and Schroder Investment Management earlier in his career.

Aeron joined KR1 plc in 2022 and is the Vice President of the Web3 Foundation, having previously held roles at the Ethereum Foundation and Parity Technologies.
