He is also president of the UK\'s Energy Institute, chairman of Maggie\'s Cancer Charity and former chairman of Scotland\'s 2020 climate delivery group.

Prior to joining Wood Group served in a variety of leadership and management positions with Petrofac and Mobil. Serves as non-executive director of Oil & Gas UK, the Oil & Gas UK Contractors Council and the Scottish Business Board. Previously work group co-chair on the Step Change in Safety Leadership Team.
