Arc Minerals (ARCM) has mobilised drill rigs on the back of results regarding targets Executive Chairman Nick von Schirnding called “company makers on their own.”
Arc Minerals’ Zamsort-Zaco copper licences in Zambia revealed 12 anomalous target areas after an airborne geophysical survey. Further infill soil sampling added another target anomaly.
A highlight of “particular interest” to the company is a 2,792 ppm copper area at Cheyeza East. The first of the mobilised rigs will target this significant anomaly.
Due to the high level of findings in the region, Arc Minerals is also continuing additional infill geochemistry work in four new regions and is expecting results from those shortly.
Mr. von Schirndig commented further, "I am very encouraged by the results of our extensive work over the property that we have completed over the past few months.
It confirms that we have a wide range of exciting and high priority targets, any of which could be company makers on their own, indeed ongoing exploration by majors in this region of Zambia supports the potential for major new tier 1 discoveries.
My confidence going forward also is strengthened by the excellent work by two respected external geological consultancies, African Mining Consultants and Momentum Group. I look forward to a period of active newsflow as we start our drilling programme, initially at Cheyeza East and West."
