Gunsynd (GUN ) has received multi-element geochemical assay results from 59 rock samples collected during the recent summer field programme conducted on the Barb project in Canada.
Gunsynd engaged Critical Discoveries to complete the Phase 1 programme targeting the Lotus and Betty Shaft areas, comprising grab sampling and mineralization characterisation of the prospects.
The multi-element assay dataset provides valuable geochemical information that will assist in the characterisation of the mineralisation and support ongoing geological interpretation of the Barb project.
Highlights from the multi-element assay results include high-grade gold values of up to 489 grams per tonne, accompanied by elevated pathfinder elements, including 0.462% bismuth and 0.254% tellurium.
Copper values of up to 10.5% were returned from a mineralised grab sample assaying 15 grams gold.
In addition, arsenic values of up to 18.1% were returned, reinforcing the robust geochemical signature of the Barb gold system.
The multi-element assay results complement the previously reported gold assays, which returned grades ranging from 0.008 grams per tonne to 489 grams, including 35 samples assaying above one gram, 23 above five grams and three above 100 grams.
At Lotus, visible gold was observed in 12 samples, while at Betty, seven samples returned values above five grams per tonne gold.
"The previously reported exceptional high-grade gold results demonstrated the significant strength of mineralisation at the Barb project,” said Hamish Harris, executive director of Gunsynd.
“The multi-element assay results now provide important insight into the geochemical signature of the system, confirming the presence of key pathfinder elements associated with the gold mineralisation. Integrating this data with our geological mapping and structural interpretation will further refine drill targeting as we advance the project toward its next phase of exploration."

Lots to be intrigued about here. There’s clearly lots of mineralisation at Barb, some of it at quite significant grades. Understanding how the system works will be key, and Gunsynd has moved a lot closer to that, now that these multi-element assays have been returned. Gunsynd will now begin to zero in on specific drill targets, and with some optimism. Good progress so far.
