(Alliance News) - Andy Burnham has said he has not proposed the return of freedom of movement between the UK and EU, as he vowed to make the public "the boss" in deciding Britain's future relationship with the bloc. But the UK prime minister said an "honest discussion" was needed about how temporary migration from Europe had been replaced by long-term settlement in larger numbers since Brexit. He wants to lock in deals on food and drink, emissions trading and a youth mobility scheme at a Brussels summit on November 20, but told ministers that the period beyond that would be to "explore options" for the long-term relationship that will eventually be put to the public. In a sign that a food and agriculture deal is almost finalised, a draft text has been circulated among the 27 EU members, the BBC reported, along with similar documents on the emissions trading and the youth mobility plans.
Comment: Given that we already have freedom of movement for anyone who wishes to turn up to this country, and open and honest discussion of why anyone needs to spend 100 quid plus on a passport? It would also be useful to run through what the point of having a referendum is, if the result is the wrong answer? Fun fact, passports are free if you were born before September 2, 1929. Yes, that is nearly 100 years ago…
Yesterday, London BTC Company Limited (BTC), the London Stock Exchange main market-listed company, is pleased to announce the latest set of gold and silver assay results from the Company's recently staked Black Star Gold-Silver Project in Pershing County, Nevada. Hewie Rattray, CEO of London BTC, states: “These are highly encouraging early results for our recently staked Black Star Project. To return gold grades at surface as high as 43.38 g/t from our latest on-ground program, with four samples above 10 g/t and high-grade results at both ends of a 2.5km target corridor is impressive. Silver grades up to 55 g/t are also encouraging to see. We are still waiting on the copper and antimony assay results, and our hope is that we may see some additional economic potential with these commodities as well. Our US geological consultants - Dahrouge - are already on the ground undertaking follow-up systematic mapping and sampling and we aim to report further finding from Black Star in the coming weeks to months."
Comment: It continues to be somewhat strange that despite excellent updates from Nevada from BTC, the share price is not getting the love that it deserves. Part of this may be the recent weakness in gold and silver. However, the more that BTC can demonstrate lies in the ground, the greater the disconnect between market cap and the value already demonstrated.
Tap Global Group plc (TAP) , the regulated crypto-fintech, announces further purchases of digital assets for its balance sheet reserve under the Company's Digital Asset Income Strategy ("DAIS"), a yield-earning reserve of digital assets deployed through the Group's established proprietary Tap Earn programme. The purchase follows the reserve's first Bitcoin ("BTC") (29 September 2026), Solana ("SOL") (1 October 2026) and Ethereum ("ETH") (13 October 2026) purchases. TAP said, "When prices pulled back, we did what the DAIS is built to do: bought again. We have doubled our Bitcoin and Solana holdings and added to our Ethereum position, taking advantage of recent market weakness to average down our acquisition costs and increase our investors' exposure to these leading digital assets at attractive entry prices. This positions shareholders to benefit from any subsequent recovery in crypto asset valuations through the accessibility of a publicly listed equity investment that also generates income on its holdings. Unlike the hold-only treasuries, every coin in DAIS is put to work through Tap Earn, so we never have to sell the reserve to fund the business."
Comment: Interesting to see that TAP is buying crypto like it is 2025, and seems not to be affected either psychologically or otherwise by the $6bn Binance hack last week. Oh yes, and TAP shares are now back at year lows. Perhaps some fans of the company will “take advantage of recent market weakness” and buy TAP shares…
EDX Medical Group (EDX), which develops and supplies innovative digital diagnostic products and services to improve the early detection and treatment of major diseases, is pleased to announce that Professor Sir Christopher Evans OBE, Founder & Chief Scientific Officer of the Company, will attend and present at the Yellowstone Advisory Private Investor Evening on Wednesday 11 November 2026. The event will be held at the London offices of SEC Newgate. Investors can register for the event here: https://www.yellowstoneadvisory.com/events. Any questions about the evening should be emailed to info@yellowstoneadvisory.com.
Comment: It has to be said that even though I follow the stock market service providers like a hawk, I am not fully familiar with Yellowstone Advisory. Are they a spin off of the TV series starring Kevin Costner, or the inspiration for Jellystone National Park as frequented by Yogi Bear? That said, today alone Yellowstone have been mentioned in a Gelion RNS, as well as the latest from EDX. Hopefully, EDX will explain next week when the hockey stick jump of revenues will finally arrive.
ZOO Digital Group plc (ZOO), the tech-enabled localisation and digital media services partner to the global media and entertainment industry, will be presenting at the MelloLondon investor event on Wednesday 18th November 2026. Stuart Green, CEO, and Robert Pursell, CFO, will be presenting at the event, to be held at The Clayton Hotel & Conference Centre, Chiswick High Road, London, W4 5RY. For further information and tickets (use code SHAREML25 for 25% off ticket price) for the MelloLondon conference, please visit the event website at https://www.melloevents.com/mellolondon2026
Comment: I would like to confess that my trips to the Clayton Hotel are something of a spiritual journey back to the 20th century. Yes, that is how authentic the 1970s – 1980s vibe is. One almost expects Jim Slater or Peter Walker to turn up. That said, Mello has the reputation of being a cut above its fellow events, even though the location is not the most glamorous. ZOO will be presenting in the wake of interim results due out on November 10th.
Fulcrum Metals plc (FMET), which is developing a scalable platform to recover precious and critical metals from mine waste using Extrakt Process Solutions’ (“Extrakt”) cyanide-free technology, notes the announcement released by Terra Balcanica Resources Corp. on 2 November 2026, that its spin-out, Terra North Resources Corp. (“Terra North”), has identified eight uranium target zones following completion of an airborne radiometric and magnetic survey over the Fontaine Lake uranium project in northern Saskatchewan. The results follow the identification of ten high-confidence uranium targets at Charlot-Neely Lake, announced on 28 October 2026, bringing the combined total to 18 targets and target zones across the two projects within Fulcrum’s Saskatchewan uranium portfolio, which is under option to Terra North.
Comment: One of the signs that a company is on its way is when the CEO / management does not feel the need to engage anymore in a kind of “don’t forget me when you are famous” fashion. This is the happy situation that FMET is in now, at least for its shareholders. Hopefully, one day soon I will be asked to conduct a supportive interview…
Gattaca (GATC), the specialist staffing business, announced its audited financial results for the year ended 31 July 2026. GATC said, “We enter FY27 with improving momentum and a clear focus on converting progress into sustained earnings growth. While macroeconomic uncertainty continues to affect some hiring markets, demand for specialist STEM skills and workforce solutions remains resilient. Increased market share, a broader contractor base and strong client relationships support our confidence in the year ahead. The Board expects further growth in continuing underlying profit before tax in FY27, in line with current market expectations of £6.5m.”
Comment: GATC continues to be in the right place at the right time as far as the albeit rather irksome STEM acronym. After the share price dip since the summer, one would expect a retest of the best levels of the year towards 170p as 2026 draws to a close.
Jangada Mines plc (JAN), a Brazil-focused natural resources company, announce exceptional high-grade gold results from a multi-target grab sampling programme at its Molly Gold Project in the Tapajós Province, northern Brazil. Sampling across the Vivi, Molly 2 and newly identified Jane and Esmeril targets has returned high gold grades, particularly at Vivi and Molly 2, highlighting the presence of extensive gold-bearing vein systems and widespread mineralisation across the project area.
Comment: Given the way that the company has headlined the RNS with 'Multiple bonanza grade samples returned across three target areas', it is perhaps surprising that shares of JAN are only up 7% in initial dealings. It may be that the buyers are still preparing themselves. But it has been the case that JAN shares have been in an extended bear run and appear to need even more than the chunky grades announced today to end the decline.
Focusrite (TUNE), the global music and audio products company supplying hardware and software used by professional and amateur musicians and the entertainment industry, today announces its interim results for the six months ended 31 August 2026. Commenting on the results and outlook, Tim Carroll CEO said: "We have delivered a strong first-half performance, with revenue growth, improved margins and double-digit growth in adjusted operating profit, alongside a significant strengthening of our balance sheet. Overall, these results reflect the progress we have made in recent years through investment in product innovation, improved routes to market and greater operational efficiency, with the business moving out of a period of adjustment to one of delivery, providing a solid foundation for future growth.”
Comment: Anyone interested in music production will be aware of the TUNE brand and products, and know that the company has a decent niche. Indeed, a near £140m market cap is not shabby at all, and makes one wonder too if it would make sense for TUNE and Gear4music (G4M) to one day join forces? That said, G4M’s market cap is actually approaching a third of TUNE.
