Rome Resources (RMRhas resumed drilling operations at the Bisie North tin project in Democratic Republic of Congo.

The work is being supported by helicopter from Kisingani.

Rome’s shares ticked up nearly 4% on the news to 0.28p. They have almost doubled in value since the end of March.

"We are very pleased to be back to drilling and look forward to completing the programme in a timely manner,” said Rome’s chief executive, Paul Barrett.

“Assays from the last three holes are now in-house and the Company will advise the market of their results along with a detailed technical update on the strategy for the current drill programme in the coming days."

With the local unrest now over, Rome is getting back to the business of drilling out its tin projects. In addition, results from a set of recently completed assays are also due out shortly, so a period of reasonably busy newsflow lies ahead.
