Totally (TLY
) which provides healthcare services across the UK and Ireland, believes today’s set of results reflect continued success in the first half of the year. The Group said its confidence is reflected in the Board’s decision to increase the Group’s dividend by 100% from 0.25p to 0.5p.
Over the period, Totally saw group turnover up by 14% to £61.6m (1H20: £54.1 million) while gross profit also increased 14% to £11.6m, up from £10.2m in 1H20. In addition, EBITDA profit increased from £2.3m in 1H20 to £3.3m while pre-tax profit rose from £0.1m to £0.9m.
Despite the approaching winter months which is expected to bring high levels of uncertainty across all healthcare sectors, the Board said it is confident that the outcome for the remainder of the company’s trading year to 31 March 2022 will be in line with current market consensus.
By 30 September 2021, Totally had £18.3m in cash, up from £14.8m as at 31 March 2021. It said this significant cash balance has been broadly maintained since September 2021.
Totally assessed and treated more than one million patients during the reporting period. Its Urgent Care Division was awarded extensions to 20 existing contracts across England, which the group said reflects the quality of service and strength of relationships with NHS partners.
Specifically, this division was awarded several contract extensions collectively worth £45m to deliver integrated urgent care, urgent treatment centres and other services in England.
It also saw the swift mobilisation of a new Urgent Treatment Centre contract at King’s College London which it said will provide continuity of service for a population of 700,000 people.
Totally Healthcare, the Group’s Insourcing division, doubled revenue from 1H20. Totally told investors that this reflects ‘the opportunity in the market and the strength of proposition.’
Over the six month period, Totally Healthcare was awarded a new contract to support the reduction of waiting lists across six hospitals for the Saolta Group of Hospitals in Ireland. The contract also extended its support across several other hospitals in the United Kingdom.
Further contracts across multiple specialities have been awarded in Blackburn, Rotherham and Sheffield, across multiple clinical specialities, as demand for these services increases.
Last month, Totally secured a string of new contract extensions worth around £22m for the provision of Integrated Urgent Care services and Urgent Treatment Centres in London.
The contracts were awarded to the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, Vocare and Greenbrook Healthcare, which together form part of the Group’s Urgent Care Division.
Despite all operations having been impacted due to the pandemic, the Group said that with the increased demand for urgent healthcare support, it was well placed to respond quickly.
