Mobile Streams (MOS ), a mobile content and data intelligence company, announced it has signed a 5-year contract to be the exclusive provider of all NFT products for Atlante Football Club, based in Mexico City.
Per the agreement, Mobile Streams has been granted a 5-year exclusive right to use Atlante commercial and intellectual property for the purpose of production, promotion, and commercialisation of NFT products. Mobile Streams' share of the the target revenue figure over the 5 years is US$3.7m. The figure is not a forecast, but a target, MOS said. Revenue from NFTs will come from both the sale price and a royalty generated from each trade, typically amounting to 5-10% of the sale price.
MOS will produce a large range of NFTs for Atlante, sold via a primary marketplace that MOS is creating for the club, as well as via MOS's telco contracts globally, its LiveScores sites and Apps, and the MOS Metaverse website. Additionally, MOS will select secondary marketplaces and 3rd party opportunities where the branded NFTs can be used or traded, such as in gaming.
Mark Epstein, CEO, commented: "It is a real privilege to have signed this contract. Atlante are one of the original members of the Mexican professional league and a club with an enormous and long-standing fan base. This deal, coming after the Pumas and Mexico National team contracts, underlines how well we are doing in the territory and our commitment to it. The whole team are delivering some incredible things and I am extremely proud of them. We can't wait to get going with Atlante."

This is another milestone contract for MOS. Atlante FC has one of the largest and longest-term fan bases in Mexico. The club has won three national league championships, as well as Copa México 3 times, and CONCACAF Champions League twice.
Today's announcement adds to the recently finalised Pumas and Mexican National team deals, making Mobile Streams a major provider of licensed NFTs. MOS is in discussions with another 30 teams for similar NFT projects, with further announcements to follow "as appropriate". The company's internal forecasts point to its NFT division potentially exceeding all other revenue streams by the end of FY23.
The global NFT market is expected to reach US$122bn by 2028, with more than US$17bn in sales in 2021, and US$35bn expected to be generated this year. The fastest growing sector within the space is the sports NFT market. MOS's string of contracts with major sports franchises this year is evidence that its next-generation Web 3.0 content strategy is working.
