London-listed Norman Broadbent Group (AIM:NBB)  has entered into a partnership with UN Women UK, the UK arm of the UN agency for gender equality, to support the vision of a more equal, inclusive world in both workplaces and communities across the globe.

In this morning’s statement, the group detailed how they were the first leadership advisory firm in the world to partner with UN Women UK.

The partnership will leverage the group’s ‘Inclusion and Diversity’ solutions, designed to aid businesses by creating inclusive working environments and diverse leadership representing both equality and commercial goals.

“Inclusion and Diversity is part of our DNA underpinning much of our client work,” said Norman Broadbent’s Chief Executive, Mike Brennan.

Partnering with UN Women UK will “further the equality gender” by driving greater inclusively solutions within business environments. 

“It is widely recognised that organisations with a more inclusive and diverse working environment are not only doing the right thing, but are more successful,” Brennan added.

The UN Women UK division is committed to creating global change alongside governments, communities and individuals. 

"We still live in a world in which only 6% of the Fortune 500 CEOs are women,” said Carol Rosati OBE, Trustee of UN Women UK.

She emphasised: “Not only does this mean that women's voices are not properly represented in companies around the world, it also means that young girls have fewer role models inspiring them to be future leaders. This needs to change.”

Founded in 2010, UN Women works at every level to drive change. UN Women UK is working to advance this agenda in the UK by working with a range of partners, including Norman Broadbent, to allow everyone the right to ‘safety, voice and a choice’.

According to a 2015 McKinsey Global Institute report, economic parity could boost global GDP by up to $28 trillion — the size of America and China's GDPs combined.

“This partnership is not only an important opportunity for UN Women UK and Norman Broadbent, but also for the markets we serve,” Brennan further added.
