Roger Carr
Chairman
Sir Roger Carr is Chairman of BAE Systems plc. He is also Vice-Chairman of the BBC Trust and a senior advisor to KKR – the world’s largest private equity company. He has previously held a number of senior appointments including Chairman of Centrica plc (2004 – 2013), Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director of the Court of the Bank of England, President of the Confederation of British Industry, Chairman of Cadbury plc, Chairman of Chubb plc, Chairman of Mitchells & Butlers plc, Chairman of Thames Water plc and Chief Executive of Williams plc. Throughout his career he has served on a number of external committees including the Manufacturing Council of the CBI, The Higgs Committee on Corporate Governance and Business for New Europe. He is a fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Arts, Manufacturers & Commerce, a Companion of the Institute of Management, an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a Visiting Fellow of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He was knighted for Services to Business in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list 2011.
Ian King
Chief Executive
Ian was appointed Chief Executive of BAE Systems in September 2008, having originally been appointed to the Board of Directors as Chief Operating Officer, UK and Rest of the World at the beginning of 2007. In 1976 Ian started his career as a graduate at Marconi and spent the next 10 years in manufacturing in Scotland and Portsmouth. Ian became Finance Director of Marconi Defence Systems from 1986-92 and of Marconi Electronic Systems 1992-1998. During this time he was appointed a non-executive director of the Canadian Marconi company and director of Marconi\'s two Anglo/French joint ventures in space and sonar. On completion of the British Aerospace/Marconi merger in November 1999, Ian was appointed Group Strategy and Planning Director reporting to the Chief Executive and responsible for the initial Strategic Business Plan for BAE Systems. Ian was appointed to the post of Group Managing Director for Customer Solutions & Support (CS&S) at the start of 2001 responsible for growing a support and services business in the UK and international markets. In addition to leading the CS&S business, Ian was responsible for the integration of the Alvis business into a new Land Systems business following its acquisition in September 2004.
PETER LYNAS
Group Finance Director
Peter, who was appointed Group Finance Director in April 2011, is responsible for the Company’s overall financial operations Peter’s early career was spent at De La Rue Systems, which he joined as a trainee accountant, and included a posting in Madrid. He joined GEC Marconi in 1985 as a financial accountant. In 1998, he was appointed Finance Director of Marconi Electronic Systems, and served on the Boards of Marconi’s joint venture companies Alenia Marconi Systems and Matra Marconi Space. He was appointed Director of Financial Control for BAE Systems in 1999 and his key responsibilities were driving operational performance through the business planning processes, financial and business plan reporting, Group financial and risk management controls, and review and appraisal of mergers and acquisitions activities. He was responsible for the Group’s external financial reporting and Treasury function.
JERRY DEMURO

Gerard J. “Jerry” DeMuro is president and CEO of BAE Systems, Inc., a U.S.-based, international defense, aerospace, and security company with nearly 34,000 employees that generated sales revenues of approximately $10.5 billion in 2014. In addition, DeMuro is an executive director on the BAE Systems plc board of directors, a member of the company’s executive committee, and an executive director on the BAE Systems, Inc. board of directors. Throughout his 36-year career, DeMuro has directed the transformation of complex global organizations responsible for fulfilling critical and challenging missions worldwide in the national security, technology, and aerospace industry. Before joining BAE Systems in early 2014, DeMuro served as executive vice president and corporate vice president of the more than $10 billion, 44,000-employee Information Systems and Technology group at General Dynamics, leading a diverse portfolio focused on secure mobile communication systems, information technology solutions, cyber security, health care and mission support services, as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems. DeMuro joined General Dynamics when GTE Government Systems was acquired in 1999. Prior to the acquisition, DeMuro spent 13 years with GTE in a number of senior leadership roles. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly a decade as an acquisition official at the U.S. Department of Defense. DeMuro has been actively involved with a number of associations and nonprofit organizations, including the Association of the United States Army, the MILCOM Conference Board, and AFCEA International, where he served on the board of directors as an Executive Committee member and as chair of the Audit Committee. He has also served on the boards of the National Science Center and the Boys and Girls Club of Taunton, Massachusetts. A native of Philadelphia, DeMuro earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977 and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1986.

Harriet is a non-executive director of Emerson Electric Co and a former chief executive officer of Thomas Cook plc and Premier Farnell plc. She is a global executive with extensive, multi-channel business leadership experience of the worldwide technology and industrial markets. She has driven innovation and strategic transformation through profitable global growth strategies and delivered industry leading results. She is a member of the UK Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Group and was awarded an OBE for services to the electronics industry.
Chris Grigg

Chris is the Chief Executive of British Land Co plc, a FTSE 100 company. British Land owns and manages a portfolio of commercial property worth £16.3bn. Chris has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial and real estate industries in a range of leadership roles. Prior to joining British Land, Chris was an executive with Barclays Bank and previously spent over 20 years at Goldman Sachs. Chris is also currently President of the British Property Foundation. He holds an MA in Economics from Cambridge University.

At Diageo, in addition to his finance responsibilities he was also responsible for procurement, strategy and IT on a global basis. He is a former non-executive director of Edwards Group Limited, Moet Hennessy SNC and Scottish Power plc. Nick is a founding patron of The Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience.
Paula Rosput Reynolds

Paula is Chief Executive Officer and President of the business advisory group PreferWest, LLC. She started her career as an economist and spent over 20 years in the energy sector in a variety of operational roles, culminating in her appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of AGL Resources in 2002. Paula subsequently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Safeco Corporation, an insurance company located in Seattle, Washington, until its acquisition by Liberty Mutual Group in 2008. She was then appointed as Vice Chairman and Chief Restructuring Officer of American International Group Inc. (AIG) from October 2008 to September 2009, overseeing AIG\'s divestiture of assets and serving as chief liaison with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Paula is a non-executive director of Delta Airlines, Inc, TransCanada Corporation and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and a former non-executive director of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc and Air Products and Chemicals Inc.
Carl Symon

Ian Tyler

Ian is Chairman of Bovis Homes Group plc, Cairn Energy plc and Al Noor Hospitals Group plc, and a non-executive director of Cable & Wireless Communications. He is a former Chief Executive Officer and a director of Balfour Beatty plc. He is a chartered accountant and over his career he has gained considerable experience in international business, particularly in the United States. Prior to joining Balfour Beatty, as Finance Director in 1996, Ian was financial comptroller of Hanson and finance director of ARC Ltd, one of its principal subsidiaries. He is a former non-executive director of VT Group plc. He also serves as president of Construction Industry Relief, Assistance and Support for the Homeless Ltd, the construction and property industry charity for the homeless.
